The 10th annual Soil & Nutrition Conference has concluded.  We truly missed seeing your faces this year, but the virtual format allowed us to reach hundreds more around the world (45 countries!), and we feel grateful for that opportunity.  We want to extend a deep thank you to all our speakers who so generously offered their time and wisdom, and our sponsors whose support made possible this conference and furthering the dialogue for a more nutrient rich food supply, a healthier people and planet.  Last but in many ways most important, our heartfelt appreciation for the community, attendees, supporters, allies, and all who have helped build the Soil & Nutrition Conference these past ten years into a global movement weaving science and wisdom for our families, our farms, and future.  We hope to see you next year!

the 10th annual

Exploring principles, techniques and practices at the intersection of farm and human ecosystems that can be applied to improve environmental sustainability, food quality, and overall well-being.

Growing the Movement Around Food Quality

Bringing together the collective knowledge of the broader food and environmental movements , the annual Soil & Nutrition Conference is distinguished  for presenting a blend of cutting-edge content in agriculture, ecology, and health, with a vibrant community energy coalescing around well-being and consciousness.

Integrating diverse viewpoints from the perspective of successful farmers, leading-edge researchers, enlightened health practitioners, and pioneers of food quality, we gather this year under the banner theme of “Weaving Science and Wisdom.”

Over 30 workshops over the course of eight months in four tracks – Agronomy, Nutrition, Mycelial Culture, and the Bionutrient Institute – all on one ticket.

Our speakers are pioneers in their respective fields eager to share innovative information grounded in science and offer insights sourced from a deeper wisdom.  Our family of attendees are forward-thinking farmers, gardeners, landscapers, homesteaders, foodies, chefs, health professionals, researchers, technologists, concerned citizens, activists, industry providers, and more.

This year’s program will:

  • Engage growers and gardeners with principles, practices, and innovations for ecologically and financially sound farming;
  • Present the health-conscious consumer and medical professional with deep insights for functional and holistic health;
  • Provide activists and researchers the valuable tools to effectively select for quality in their local region and food supply; and,
  • Guide all of us toward a decolonized, regenerative, and mycelial culture.

Together, this conference is the nexus of information and networking for all interested in coming together around soil and nutrition, and around the collective health and well-being of people and planet.

We hope you will join us for a season of learning and growing together, with support, inspiration, community, and ideas provided throughout the year, as we celebrate our tenth anniversary of the Soil & Nutrition Conference!

For our tenth anniversary, we have reimagined our annual conference and transformed our traditional multi-day intensive into an online series of unique webinars offered weekly over the course of eight months.

With the spread of the pandemic precluding large gatherings, our first instinct was to simply mirror our conference online. But with so many of us already spending extended time in front of our computers, rather than squeezing everything into a long weekend, we hope that rolling out the conference in weekly doses will allow for greater spaciousness and thoughtful community engagement. It also means that we can expand our global outreach and offer a lower price point. One last bonus: you won’t have to choose between concurrent sessions, which is always hard!

Speaker sessions will be held Thursdays from 3:00-4:30pm ET, beginning with our opening ceremony on February 4, 2021 and continuing each week into September.

In general, speakers will present for about an hour, with the remaining time reserved for interactive Q&A and/or broader community discussion.

Of course, we don’t expect everyone will be able to make every Thursday session. If you miss any of the talks (or simply want to watch again), no problem. All sessions will be recorded and available to registrants within a couple days if you cannot join us live.

We will miss seeing you in person, of course, but we are excited about new opportunities the virtual format affords us.  We hope you can join us for this vital dialogue about the future of agriculture, human health, ecological sustainability, and just as important, the wonderful opportunity to build community and bridge the dialogue into action.

Absolutely priceless! I am a student pursuing a career in Nutrition and needless to say my mind was completely blown by what I learned and by the amazing people I had the pleasure of meeting. I left feeling empowered and on fire to make a difference. I could not wait to get home and share all that I had learned. It has given me a renewed energy in pursuing a career in this industry and working to make a difference in the state of global health.
